Here’s something you might not have known – big companies seem to think men don’t care about the way they look.
That’s why when you’re looking to improve you appearance as a man, it’s so hard to find anything that’s working in this day and age. Fear not though, help is finally heard.
Like it or lump it, you have to start looking after yourself.
Tip 1: Hair
You need to rethink all those cheap $5 haircuts and start going to a more upmarket barber that takes you seriously. We all have different bumps on our head shapes, different face and head shapes that require a professional to tell us what could look good and what’s a questionable idea.
Finding a reliable barber that really does care can be hard though, but with social media it has become a whole lot easier. Search for all the barbershops in your area and look up their social media websites and/or accounts.
Look at what they’re doing to their client’s hair. Are they making an effort to look modern etc?
Check out reviews, don’t just settle for the first shop you come to – it’s methodical, but hair can be extremely important for how you look, and it’s worth homing in on the best barber with this process.
Tip 2: Skin
Having lovely clear skin is certainly one of the most important ways to demonstrate your youth and vitality to a wider audience, which in turn makes you look miles better than most guys out there that don’t do a thing for their skin.
What I suggest: Start simple, assuming you don’t have any isssues that require a dermatologist visit.
Begin with a cleanser for your face with some moisturizer, simple.
Some kind of cloth to wash your face with and clean any dirt, and something to return the moisturize to your skin after you wash it.
Tip 3: Hygiene
This is a broad category, so I’ll just list some hygiene related things you should be thinking about:
Keep fingernails and toes cut nice and short
Ask your barber to trim your eyebrows
At the very least, trim between your unibrow!
If you have a beard, groom it by lining it up first..Moisturize your beard with oil to prevent flakiness
Try to wet-shave if you usually clean shave. Wet shaving is much closer and far surpasses an electric shaver.
Look into whitening your teeth with activated charcoal or white strips
Go to your dentist to give your teeth a much more thorough clean than any brush.
Find your “signature scent” with cologne that suits you
Similarly, find a body wash that suits you best.
Trim the hair on your body so it does not get out of control
Tip 4: Body
Let’s talk briefly about the body before moving onto clothes and fashion advice.
It’s hardly a secret that keeping fit is the way to health and looking more attractive. I don’t want to state the obvious too much, but if you’re a little overweight doing too little, it’s always great to incorporate some form of cardio, basic strength training or calisthenics to your day. It will make you
Look much better, with and without clothes.
Feel much better, both physically and mentally.
Don’t underestimate the importance of diet- cut out fast food, sodas, chips, chocolate and all the treats and empty calories you don’t need.
Remember it’s much harder to burn those calories than the “treat” of putting them on with unnecessary snacks
Tip 5: Style
We come to my favorite tip now. Everyone loves expressing themselves to the world with style. That’s what 90% of our modern man website is about, so I won’t go in-depth about it here.
Go and peruse our site, explore your style and express yourself with a new wardrobe of clothes that will make the world notice!
